Best time to visit

Winter is boring. Spring carries a few attractive days. July to September is parched and bright and thus the best time to visit. September and the springs are less congested but with the more variable weather. But you can for snowboarding, skiing and snow trekking on Mount Rainer and Mount Si.

Transportation

Traffic problems are on the tip of every resident's tongue, and rush hours throng the city's main pathways and throughways. The bus system is suitable within the downtown core, and the Light Rail is an inexpensive ride from downtown to the airport. New streetcars and an extended Light Rail system are in the works, but walking remains the finest way to reach an adjacent destination.
Weather
Seattle is identified for its showers and dim, gloomy atmospheres. Summers are pleasant while November through March carries the nastiest of the unpleasant climate, with cool temperatures, dense cloud cover and rainfalls. Snowfall is occasional. November is the wettest month, often classified as a Pineapple Express while December and January are the coldest months and August is the hottest month.
