    The capital city of Western Australia, Perth is one of the most isolated cities in the world with flat coastal plains and is placed along the Swan River. This city is circumscribed by the Darling Scarp to the east and the Indian Ocean coastline to west.

    The Perth Metropolitan Area is divided into Fremantle, Northbridge, The coast, The hills, northern and southern suburbs. Most of the inhabitants reside in suburbs along the coast. This zone is filled with food and entertainment and provides the opportunity to swim or watch the sun fade away into the Indian Ocean. Outside the city lies Outer Perth and Rottnest Island. They are big islands and have small townships where locals like to relax with the Quokka in Rottnest Island

    The city is well equipped with a reliable and affordable public transport system. It is easy to get around Perth with the network of trains, busses, cycle lanes and taxis. The Perth public transport system is operated by Transperth. You can explore the city for free using the Central Area Transit (CAT) bus. Hop onto one of three lines and meander around the key attractions the City has to offer. This is a great way to get-to-know your surroundings.

    Best time to visit

    From September to November i.e. during spring season, you can appreciate the marvels of beautiful winter's rainfall, the celebrated wildflowers around Kings Park and the delightful blooming of Avon Valley. Another ideal time to visit Perth is during autumn season i.e. from March to May. Summers are really harsh due to extreme conditions and in winter, natives habitually travel north to Broome or Bali for the temperateness.
    Perth has a Mediterranean type of climate, where the weather is fine and sunny. Even their short mild winters have sunshine. The summer is the hottest ranging from December to February and rain at this time of year is very rare. Springtime in Perth starts in September and the weather is pleasant and rain is usually minimal. Autumn in Perth is like a leeway of summer, or perhaps a second spring. Weather is generally fine with occasional shower or humidity. While the winter begins in June and ends at the end of August, characterized with rain and blended with cool sunny days.
