The largest state and capital of Western Australia, Perth is the only city that lays beside the Indian Ocean and is the perfect starting point for your Australian adventure. Being one of the hottest city’s in Australia with over 3,000 hours of average sunshine a year and with their summers lasting through December till early April its an ideal place to visit during our winters. Its vast expanse is heightened by the fact that it is one of most isolated cities in the world, second only to Honolulu, Perth really is a hidden treasure.
Geography of Perth
The capital city of Western Australia, Perth is one of the most isolated cities in the world with flat coastal plains and is placed along the Swan River. This city is circumscribed by the Darling Scarp to the east and the Indian Ocean coastline to west.
The Perth Metropolitan Area is divided into Fremantle, Northbridge, The coast, The hills, northern and southern suburbs. Most of the inhabitants reside in suburbs along the coast. This zone is filled with food and entertainment and provides the opportunity to swim or watch the sun fade away into the Indian Ocean. Outside the city lies Outer Perth and Rottnest Island. They are big islands and have small townships where locals like to relax with the Quokka in Rottnest Island
